The main attention point on offline vapor phase soldering machines is the loss of vapor when opening the hood. To reduce the consumption, we have developed a system that takes the not used vapor away before escaping into the air. This unit is not only a benefit for the medium consumption but this also reduces the smell and gives the operator a cleaner work environment. The recovery system will be going into production ending march 2010. From that moment on, new machines can be equipped with this system.

Looking into the power and nitrogen consumption. If you compare the solder results from a vapor phase machine with a reflow oven, than you have to make your evaluation looking at reflow ovens with a process chamber off at least 2.5m using nitrogen. If you than look at nitrogen, floor space and power consumption, you see a big differences. The graph below gives you a overview.
